Good Night, Sleep Tight

The story and intent of this piece is exploring the ambiguous and disorienting nature of dreams. There is a very striking visual style shift between what counts as reality and of the dreamscape in order to add to this idea of the disorientation which dreams bring to the table. The color palette of the animation changes depending on whether the scene is set in reality or in the dream. It’s grungy and dull in the scenes of reality in order to give off a bland and even unappealing appearance in order to contrast to the stark contrasting silhouettes of the dream sequence. The sound design for this animation is very minimalistic, with both the folly sound effects and piano accompaniment being personally created for this film.
